Do you remember this
post? Well, I have found a new one... Can you tell which windows are for real and which are painted? I am sure you can, but still, I find this Trompe l'oeil really cool. It's located in the 8th arrondissement at the beginning of avenue Delcassé.

See you sonn.

Ok gg...I have a question for you as you always have some interesting history about these sorts of Trompe l'oeils! Why and when did they get started? Anything clever you can share with us?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, showing well the atmosphere of Paris. I live in Paris and I like the way you take the photos.
ReplyDeleteon sent que y'en a qui a l'oeil...
ReplyDeleteNo Michael, désolé ! But one of the first Trompe l'œil I can remember is the one rue Etienne Marcel, with large stairs, a little girl and a portrait of Yehudi Menuhin. It was known as a real nouveauté in the mid-seventies…
ReplyDeleteIl y en a un pas mal just derrière la mairie du XVème sur la rue Lecourbe face au centre de Paris (contre la circulation).
