In the Galeries Lafayette area (precisely rue Caumartin, 50), there is a large sport equipement store called Citadium. Quite cleverly, they took advantage of a concrete "bench" outside the store to install this big poster with this giant jumping women. It really looks like she is jumping above the head of people who sit there.

Phylos you're right...I think that's what makes the photo especially effective Eric. When I first saw it I thought it was a screen shot of an add because of the pink/purple band at the top, but when I saw it was real, it was even better. I think I'll have to wander over there and mess around wtih some other potentially interesting shots (untie her shoes, grabbing her leg...)
ReplyDeleteI think that not only is it effective because they both look the same way but if you look closely, they have very similar features. I think, because of that, it makes it look like a girl daydreaming about jumping hurdles while she waits.

Very fun picture! All of the colors in the picture work well together. Even the graffiti on the bench matches the pink band at the top.
