Don't we have weird creatures in Paris? I photographed it on the
Quai des Bernardins, in the 5th arrondissement where it was performing together with its "master" as you can see
in this photo. It was really amazing to see it acting like a real animal, even trying to steal food from people in the audience.
That is so creepy!
ReplyDeleteHe looks like an angry mutant smurf!!
ReplyDeleteThis is quite an impressive photo! What a character! Ahh, I recognise the three strange flat building behind the... thing. There was a weird 'happening' on a barge on the same site a couple of years ago with strange arabic musicians hanging off barges as part of the Water Festival but that's another story. Nice one.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly can't be said that all of the art in Paris is archaic and fossilized. Bravo Sea Horse! Brava beautiful Sea Nymph!
ReplyDeleteFor me, these two photos of some sort of large blue crustacean and his minder speak volumes about the creative minds of we who inhabit the earth. Thanks so much for the photos.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the average Irish rugby supporter, to me.
ReplyDeleteI definitely love street artists, they are so creative !

ReplyDeleteGiven the sad passing of Marcel Marceau, can you give us a Paris photo that would provide a fitting epitaph?
Holy crap! I absolutely love them! Good lord I can't wait to come to Paris!
ReplyDeleteThat's down at the end of the street where I used to live! I do like the street performers, especially the musicians who set up at street corners and play fantastic music.
ReplyDeleteHappy first day of fall, everyone!
I'll bet there were a lot of smiles and stares along the street from people passing by.

I cracked up when I read Ham's comment. After all, he is painted blue.
ReplyDeleteLove the outfit! Hey, I notice this is Tomate's quartier and she hasn't left a comment here. Do you suppose that this creature is....umm...Tomate-is that you under that costume?
ReplyDeleteMichael: Is it the part where Eric says he was "acting like a real animal" that made you think of me? Just curious ;)
ReplyDeleteOtherwise, I take is as a compliment that you would think it's me on top. Actually, I am the bottom one, you can't see on this picture! :P
(By the way, hard to load PDP this week-end for some reason; all I had on my screen was the green dots for most of the WE)
LOL Tomate! I too had problems loading PDP. Maybe that's the reason for the small amount of comments.
