Children are talented...

Here is a nice little fresco called "the Arrival of a Circus in a Country Village" entirely made by the children of the Clichy Trinité quarter (an area of Paris located in the 9th and 18th arrondissement) under the guidance of Paule Pointreau, a teacher specializing in teaching fine arts to children. This fresco is located in front of "La Trinité" church (where I took the black and white photo 2 days ago) in order to hide works.

  1. Charming; well done them for that artwork. However, i'd have preferred it to be sited away from the beautiful and ancient La Trinite and not obscuring its view.

  2. I definitely do not mind the juxtaposition of the ancient La Trinite and the mural. Children have a gift for combining brilliant and vivid colours.

  5. Hey, I think I saw that uniform and hat at the Grand Palais!

By the way, my two nieces gave me two calendars with photos of Paris because they know I love the city so much. Not the PDP calendar, but I love them anyway. I think I have my own photos of me or friends in all the locations shown on my new calendars. What fun!

  6. This kind of looks like something you'd find in a bad neighborhood. I like the art and I like the church, but I don't like the two together personally.

  7. Well, Michael, Eric lives around there, n'est ce pas? Are you implying that makes it a bad neighborhood? LOL

  9. Not at all Jeff, it just kind of reminds me of something you'd find in a ghetto somewhere. I know that sounds terrible, but juxtaposed with the church, it just doesn't work for me. I can't explain it very well here...
