Something more fun today... I took this shot in front of a wedding dress shop which building they are obviously renovating. I found it funny to think of the plastic tarpaulin as an extension of the dress. I know it's silly... FYI, there are a little less than 300,000 marriages per year in France (and about 150,000 divorces). The average age of the groom is 31 and the one of the bride is 29.
It sure does look like part of the dress! I bet the shop is horrified to have this bundle of trash out front.

ReplyDeleteSpeaking of marriage, I saw on the news today that Mexico City is now allowing same sex marriages? I find that pretty amazing because of the strong Catholic culture in Mexico. I can already foresee an increase in "tourism" from California to Mexico City ;)
A good representation of most marriages? At first it looked to me almost like she was walking on clouds, but soon enough I realized that the reality was far more mundane. From an angel-like visage floating in the sky to some trashy old bag. The transition didn’t take long. Does it ever?

Lucy's little brother had proposed to a classmate that they runaway to Paris (he was only joking, he didn't really even know where Paris was)... she told her mom, who told the teacher, who told the Principle and he was suspended from school! I wonder how many of those 300,000 have already been divorced? Perhaps it's the same people getting married/divorced/married/divorced etc.
Sort of like a nuptial revolving door.
Looks like this latest victim is trying to escape by climbing up the scaffolding, but the weight of that stupid train is holding her down.
This Wedding Dress looks fantastic! Just half-close a little bit your eyes, and it seems that all is made from pure silk. :-)

Sure, Petrea is right in a way that marriage is about realistic love, but it needs to also be full of equal parts of romantic love...
If you take out one part, the whole thing will collapse.....

I could not say... All is a question of balance and Sean is soooo convincing when he writes "Marriage is about realistic love (I love this part) but it needs to also be full of equal parts of romantic love" (oh my, that's the dreamt part I love too!!!). Honestly, when you find these two combinated, you just need to be clever and smart enough to keep it getting better. Like you Petrea! :)
How funny!! I thought they were discarded wedding gowns...or diapers! Perhaps Mrs. Tiger Woods threw her gown there in front of Pronuptia!! Anyone else tired of that story??
