Air France office

Like I said previously it really was hard for me to readjust to the Paris time. Right now I could do with a quiet do nothing weekend in Paris, but I have to go down to Nice for a couple of days. I should not complain, as Nice will probably be warmer and sunnier than Paris and because I'm going there to attend the Christening of a little niece I'm going to be the Godfather of! By the way, this is the Air France office at les Invalides. It's located in the magnificent ex Gare des Invalides, built for the 1867 world exposition.

  3. Congratulations! Your little niece has already good stars over her head. Very good!
But don't stay away too long, Paris city would not like it too much!

  4. Being named a Godparent is a show of love and respect. Congratulations!

I do think it's easier to adjust new timezones going west rather than east. You'll just have to come back here!

  6. I really like the different intensities of light in this, from the ultra bright signage to the soft ambient light behind it. Congratulations on your new niece. May she live a charmed life.

  7. Congratulations and have a great weekend in Nice!

I think the building which is the home of Air France is really beautiful and impressive.
Besides that I like Air France very much, I know some people who work there and they are very nice.

But it's really American Airlines who has ALL the luck cause

    PHX

    works there!!!

  9. Wow Lois, you have good eyes. Thanks for drawing attention to it. I was intrigued by the way the colored lights are bouncing off the clouds above and now realize it is from le Tour's light display.

Eric, have fun with your niece in Nice! (couldn't resist) And congratulations on being godfather her christening. Wishing you some R&R somewhere in the weekend.

  19. It is like I've had my head in the sky all day, with this picture LOL! It was raining a lot. I'd love to go to Nice and give a sweet little kiss on your sweet little niece's face, Eric.
When I went to my Godson Christening, last October, the mass was given by a very welcoming priest who made us participate by asking questions. One of them was to translate "parrain" and "marraine" in English and I answered proudly "Godfather" and "Godmother" which are much more significant for the Church than the French words.
To me, behind the growing relationship between a Godfather and a Godchild, is the promise to stay in touch all your life with her/him. So big.
