Let me take you shopping today... After all it's les soldes (sales) and it would be a shame not to take advantage of them! I found this stunning lamp at rue Bonaparte (n°21) in the 6th in the Cyrus Company store (an Italian furniture designer). This head immediatly drew my attention, but it was not the only beautiful thing in the store and I was not the only one admiring it. Of course it's not exactly cheap (about 500 €), but beauty has a price...
I've always wanted to be in Paris for les soldes - someday! I agree that this lamp is striking - but I think I'd prefer to see it in a store rather than my home - it might freak me out a bit at nite with those glowing eyes staring out at me :)
ReplyDeleteI'm with Monnica, that would totally freak me out! I have to admit that the chandelier in the background is SO much more my style!!
ReplyDeleteOk, I love the typical Eiffel Tower shots, but this is what I like best about PDP Eric. These little snippets of daily life and being able to "see" them for us with your camera. Really beautiful this one!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Michael that I adore the real-life pics showing us life in Paris, along with the beautiful architectural shots of course. I am also with Christie that the chandelier is more my style than this lamp! Though... I do like it. I would admire it very much... in someone else's home, or a store, or a hotel! Yes a hotel. That's where it should be.
ReplyDeleteThinking about it, I do have a porcelain mask hanging in my kitchen, from my acting days. That doesn't freak me out too much, so; maybe! Too expensive though.
ReplyDeleteI love your photos because from a simple thing you tell a story and they are always interesting...
ReplyDeleteNow that, is a lamp!
ReplyDelete@Monnica " it might freak me out a bit at nite with those glowing eyes staring out at me :)" LOOOOOL!
ReplyDelete@Christie "I have to admit that the chandelier in the background is SO much more my style!!" Actually the whole store is fantastic.
@Michael "These little snippets of daily life and being able to "see" them for us with your camera. " ;-))
@Lynn "I'm with Michael that I adore the real-life pics showing us life in Paris, along with the beautiful architectural shots of course." Well I'm trying to make a balance between all this.
@Michelle "I love your photos because from a simple thing you tell a story and they are always interesting." Awwwww, merci Michelle!
Well spotted Eric. My face lit up when I saw this. It would look fab in the right surroundings.
ReplyDeleteHmmm...not my style at all, even as a gift I would not put it in my house. 500 Euro wow!
ReplyDeleteSales - I love them...would love to be in Paris now. Like Monnica I love the look of the lamp in the shop makes a striking photo but maybe not in my house!
ReplyDelete@Drummond " It would look fab in the right surroundings" Yeah, like my living room for instance LOL! (I know Sylvia and Ann don't agree...)
