Yesterday I went to the American Hospital in Neuilly-sur-Seine (to stand by someone that PDP visitors know well... aka Michael!) and on the way out I came across this stunning statue of Le duc d'Orléans (the Orléans are a famous French families that provided kings to France). Technically it's not Paris, since it's slightly on its outskirts, but I could not miss it. Especially with this grey sky in the background ;-)

Wow, we've gotten a string of great skies in the last few posts. The American Hospital played a very important role in World War II for the Americans in Paris and others. And I hope Michael is okay. Sending him best healthy wishes.
ReplyDeleteI hope Michael's okay! That's the most important thing. Please give him my good wishes.
ReplyDeleteI hope the American Hospital takes a very good care of Michael and he gets well very soon. Hope you'll let us know soon.
ReplyDeleteIn the photo, the horse is in a beautiful and hard position of horse training. And well surrounded by a great light in the background.
Absolutely love your photos of the city I miss terribly. Being a french women living in the States by necessity, you bring me home ....

This picture is quite dramatic—hope that's the only drama (i.e., hope Michael's okay!).
