This photo made me smile!!! I walked on this bridge every day when I was in Paris (I was there from May 24 - June 4). I love this bridge, and it was a nice place to watch the sunset, too. The photographs by Francis Gazeau are beautiful - I took a couple of photos of them so I can remember them now that I am back in NYC.

Thanks for sharing this amazing photo. The French are so good about open air art. Anyone traveling to Paris should check the Fence surrounding the Luxembourg Gardens where there is always an exhibit. I arrive in Paris next week, I hope Gazeau's work is still on display. Vicki Hofstetter "Oui, Madame!"

The "Pont des Arts" is probably one of the most romantic walk in Paris.
That is why it is mentionned in several famous french songs, like the one from Brassens here above (see comment from "Tomate Farcie" )
The view from there is great 360° around, even without paintings.
An advise when not raining: just sit on the wooden bridge, read a book, the back against the fence (when there is no painting).
You will see this bridge in a totally different way, than just walking on it.

Oh, the diamonds from the tennis court fence of yesterday have turned sideways and now run along le Pont des Arts today! ;^) It looks like the photo mountings include lamps for evening viewing, and I bet that looks spectacular. How are the works protected from the elements? (Your skies are looking much like ours in Seattle this week).

What a beautiful setting to exibit your work and Francis Gazeau produces some fantastic work. However I stll prefer 'our' Bob from Barcelona, maybe one day it will be his work on the Le Pont des Arts". Have a good weekend Eric, I hear the weather is not to good in Paris at the moment?
