I must say I rediscovered the place as I would not necessarily think of going there. But like I - and everybody here - said, it's definitely a nice place to hang out (BTW, if you go to Le Caveau, r one of the other restaurants on the pace, pick a warm day and book a table outside. I have eaten at Le Caveau du Palais but I didn't have the "Bar Grille'..." I will if I ever get there again...I love the classic steamed new potatoes they served with it. Lovely!! Like PHX2CDG I love "La Rose de France" across the street. One autumn I think I went there for lunch every Sunday. They had one of the best Chicken dishes in Paris; but I have heard it isn't as good as it used to be..tant pis! I even bought a cigarette lighter[though I don't smoke]from a poor woman who was selling them in the resto. It was "Philippe Starck" she said. I still have it...and I like to just hold it sometime. Last time I was there having lunch iin a cafe maybe, called Bar Caveau, it was like being in a film so busy with locals and the owners kids playing outside and running in for food now and then...just totally charming.
