Every time I would see him, I would give him a look when he started to walk towards me. He got creepy. I think he is famous for that "blank look." He gave it to everyone. I was in London and Paris during the Max's hayday, however, I had a studio in SoHo US$130.00 rent a month. That way I would have a place to come home to when coming in off a tour. Then I would hang at Max's and a few other popular clubs.Lois Simonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15147226104566786852noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11471590.post-91814141752638949222008-08-10T22:00:00.000+02:002008-08-10T22:00:00.000+02:00Mojito, definitely - my hubby makes GREAT ones.Eri...Mojito, definitely - my hubby makes GREAT ones.

Eric, about yesterday's post - you should claim the distance of the Artist, don't you think? And wouldn't it be funny if they turned out to be the same stories? (Actually, I think mine are more illegal than X-rated.) I wasn't a Max's regular, because I was in Paris during its heyday. But I did come home for Christmas one year and spent a lot of time there. That's where I met Warhol. My friend introduced me as "Alexa Super-Duper Star"—which he thought was funny and I thought was embarrassing. I remember that AW asked to photograph you; I just got a blank look—but I knew a bunch of the people who were following in his wake (had met them in Paris), so he ultimately decided I was "okay."

BTW, Loic—forgot to say Congrats for being GF today. In case you didn't know, the honor now comes with a crown. I believe you're the first man to wear it in a while. I'm not really a drinker of rum, but the next time I'm out of the States (next month), I'm going to have a Havana Club, just because I can there and can't here.Alexahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03620873522996260383noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11471590.post-60837950565952778042008-08-10T21:24:00.000+02:002008-08-10T21:24:00.000+02:00Guille, Very clever -- I'm impressed with your sop...Guille, Very clever -- I'm impressed with your sophisticated tease.

Well, I could maybe tell you one that is PG13 about Frank Sinatra and his dancers (my mom was one of them). She told me the story after a birthday party for one of the dancers. I use to hang out back stage -- very sex educational. Frank was very thin but the women in the audience screamed at him because he was a sex symbol. Sometimes the men in the audience would get jealous and heckle Frank. Once he said, "Oh, jump on my bones," in reply to the man." After the show there was a birthday party for one of his dancers in one of the hotel rooms at the Sands in Vegas. My mom said that Frankie dropped by with a bottle of Champagne for the birthday girl. All the dancers (seven) begged him to stay; however he reclined thanking them profusely for the offer. Then the birthday girl said to Frankie, "Frankie jump on my bones." He gave a short sexy low laugh and left. He was such a gentlemen. He really didn't drink (contrary to what the gossip columns said); he did like to gamble though. My mom said he had the bug. This was his Rat Pack days.Lois Simonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15147226104566786852noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11471590.post-13796912703118187902008-08-10T21:16:00.000+02:002008-08-10T21:16:00.000+02:00another refreshing photo and post.Merci dear Eric....another refreshing photo and post.
Merci dear Eric.dianasfaria.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10488357854017358868noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11471590.post-29759581848216742692008-08-10T19:49:00.000+02:002008-08-10T19:49:00.000+02:00We're talking about alcohol, we are looking at a b...We're talking about alcohol, we are looking at a big glass of rhum, Mlle C. will pop up soon, the atmosphere is lovely. I have a really funny story about Buddha, but it is XXX rated so I only tell it privately at cocktail parties :) I have a really funny story about Max's too that is XXX rated. Well, I have a few of those. Moving right along......keeping this PG. ;-)

Alexa, "Lois -- what show(s) were you on when you were a kid?" I don't remember because there were so many, and they all were pretty much the same. Every day I would show up at the stage door with some other neighborhood kids. It was around the block from my house. We would go inside the sound stage, everything was set up. They would tell us were to sit, and what contests they were going to have. We would win toys. At the end, we would get gifts from the sponsors. It was fun. Kept me out of trouble.Lois Simonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15147226104566786852noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11471590.post-47562771066377887632008-08-10T19:27:00.000+02:002008-08-10T19:27:00.000+02:00There is only one good rum, the real "ron de Cuba"...There is only one good rum, the real "ron de Cuba", Havana Club !
