Oh my goodness! I was sitting in the Starbuck's on the Grands Boulevards waiting for my son to finish at a birthday party he was attending when this bike procession rolled by. Painful? Dangerous? Embarrassing? Some of those body parts might not look nice in a 30 mph wind :) Eric, I'm glad it was only nudity. Any sex on those bicycles might have endangered the pedestrians as well.

tomate...apparently the event was held in SF on the same day. I actually saw them in formation near Dolores Street, but ran the other way as I needed to get to work. In SF, people need little excuse to run around[or bike]bare assed, and it isn't always so "attractive"!

From the looks of the blue on the "other cheek"...this tricolor must be adorning a "French Butt"!

Lynn, Suzuki would never do any exhibitionist type stuff. He's an Alpha Male and a Japanese Gentleman from Tokyo and very proud of it. Another Japanese man at the Sushi bar said, "Bicycle? Suzuki, this isn't Tokyo." Suzuki just gave him a hard stare -- didn't say a word. He's quiet. I can hardly wait until you are up and running again Lynn. I know the first place you'll go -- to the theatre. I can feel the anticipation all the way over here.

Alexa, I didn't feel shy about posing in front of all those people -- they are all artists and their pictures always made me look so beautiful. I would walk around during break to see what they were doing. I am not as beautiful has they portrayed me. I guess artists see beauty even when there is very little. Look how clever you are -- you made it back to the photo du jour.

Lois -- I think you're right, or at least we probably know (or knew) some of the same people. Here's a coincidence -- I was asked to pose at the Art Students League, but didn't because I felt too shy in front of so many people. But I had worked as an artist's model for an American sculptor in Venice. It was winter and we had to turn on the stove and work in the kitchen, so I wouldn't freeze my little bare butt. (And, voila -- we're back on the fascinating subject of the day!)

I noticed when I was in Montreal that they have bicycle lanes between the street and the sidewalk; and a few times I mistakenly walked into the bicycle lane. I was told firmly that I was not to walk there -- for bicyclists only! I think that is what the San Francisco bicyclist is striving for - safety and respect. They have had enough of being run down by cars, etc. I was out at a local sushi bar last night and my sushi chef, Suzuki, told me that he bicycles to work. He has a Niki jacket that has strips on it that glow in the dark so that he doesn't get hit by cars.
