Now that i'm home, I have to admit I feel a bit of guilt if I don't follow your lead. I'm recycling much more than I ever have.
V
PS In our apt. it was a little embarrassing when I had to drop those wine bottles in the big green bin one at a time. The noise!!! Jerks. It saves them time, but the purpose of recycling is defeated. We have a state legislator who owns a garbage/recycling collection business who got busted doing that and he just laughed it off and denied it. Then the porter sorts it all out. I'm always horrified when I go to visit my relatives in Virginia and they throw it all in one bag and don't even try to recycle. But they also have to take their own garbage to a dump, so maybe it all gets sorted there (I hope).Alexahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03620873522996260383noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11471590.post-40114962847710385982009-09-29T17:38:43.043+02:002009-09-29T17:38:43.043+02:00L O L !!!

We recycle in Pasadena, too, but all the recycling goes in one bin. I wonder if we have a system here that sorts by weight, or something, making it unnecessary for us to do it ourselves? In Minneapolis, we (are supposed to) separate paper, newspaper, corrugated cardboard, glass (all colors together), metal, plastic. It seems difficult until you get used to it. Many suburb people think it's too hard, even if they don't have so many categories, and they just throw it all in the trash. I was glad to learn recycling is going on in Paris.jeffnoreply@blogger.com
