Located 124 rue Réaumur (in the 2nd arrondissement), this building was designed by Georges Chedanne in 1905. What makes it different in this area where all buildings are very old is that it is entirely made of steel except on the last floor where you can find brick. Also, the layout of each floor is different as each occupant is free to raise partitions as he wishes.
Excellent photo of a fascinating building. I guess it's sort of auto-destructive art, although clearly a rusting building will last for hundreds of years anyway. Enjoy your site/blog.

The original building from the newspaper "Le Parisien Libéré" and now the head office of France Cable Radio (France Télécom group): 124, rue de Réaumur, Paris 2 by the architect Chédanne, (Métro Réaumur Sébastopole). This iron and glass building has a pretty Art Nouveau shape.
