Netizen, the French magazine about blogs

Last Wednesday, like half of the French blogosphere (!), I attended the party for the launch of Netizen, the first magazine in France (and probably in the world!) to deal with the actual content of blogs. It is made by people I am very fond of (Christophe, Cyril, Chryde...) so, of course, I am a little biased when I say it's an excellent magazine! But still... The reason why I mention it only now is that I did not have my camera that evening (yes, it happens!) and that I had to "borrow" a photo from Guillaume, who, in my opinion, took the best one. (BTW, I am told that the guy on the picture has this blog!)

  1. Launching a magazine is an exciting challenge. I hope Netizen will make it, I really do. The name of the magazine is clever though I'm not sure people will understand it's about blogs. I'll be buying it - and not only because some friends did collaborate :)

Guillaume, very clever shot indeed, you are a brilliant photographer ;)))

  4. Hang on - have I got this right - the French are launching a print magazine for online content?? (any comment to avoid having to admit I initially read the name as Nietz(sche)izen)

BTW, I have struggled through the blog on the link, but I couldn't find any description of the content or the aim (except - to be!). Is that my weak french?

  5. What is the point of a PRINTED magazine on blogs?!?! I bet it will not last long...

  6. I like the poster. Is it possible to obtain one of these posters, do you know?

Thanks for sharing all that information with us, Eric! :)

(BTW, a magasine about blog is kind of a funny concept, but it's also very cool and flattering ... and long overdue! Hope your name makes it in there, Eric. It really should!)

  9. Yea! Bookmarked Kigoo’s blog, and Guillaume’s, good stuff! There’s even a vid of Guill at the launch on his blog (everyone’s so hyped up). Someone said “super corporel” Corporate? I wonder what he meant. Will have to get at least one sample copy. Christophe seems to have a lot of very dedicated friends. Thanks for this, Eric.

  11. I finally got to see a copy of this magazine and I have to say, it really is good. Modern look and style, lots of links with commentaries about them, and the usual "Top 10" blogs to check out. This should be a success even if it's hard to imagine a "hard copy" of a "soft" subject.
