Grand opening of Virguina Gallery

I always look up to people who take risks and prefer to go their own way than follow the stream... This is exactly what Nadia - one of my neighbors - did last night when she, and an associate (Guy), opened a new jewelery gallery in Le Passage Verdeau (31 bis). Nadia was kind enough to invite me for the Grand Opening and, of course, I could not help taking photos... I wish Nadia and Guy the best of luck for this new adventure and if ever you're in the neighborhood and are looking for designer's jewelery, just pay them a visit!

  1. I love silver jewelry (hint, hint everyone)!

Do they have a website where we can see more of their designs?

Looks like a nice opening party.

Good luck to you friends, I like silver jelwery too, hope they have a lot of success.

Is scattering coins around the counter to wish good luck and prosperity a tradition in France?

  10. Eric you are not to old! (remember, we are very close in age!)

I have been busy with my photos and my friends photos. Editing, cropping and printing has only made me want to come back to the City of Light. I am actually depressed because I can't come back immediately. Coming here, to ParisDailyPhoto has saved me! Seeing those of you that I "talked" to before I left cheers me.
As far as tourists, I believe you get back what you put out there and I had a wonderful experience because I was giddy happy myself. Working with the public my believe also proves that you get back what you put out there. I absolutely loved to hear bonjour. I have kept that up with some of my patients that know where I was going and I have seen smiles on the faces of those that don't yet know me.
And so Eric, you are not to old to take risks! I applied for a part time job to supplement my income, to meet and greet new people and to get a discount! I filled out the application and sat on it for a week or so, then took the plunge. I still have not heard, but I did take a risk. I know it wasn't a big risk, but I also talked to my supervisor about less hours and am thinking about other ventures. If not now, when? At this age it is the perfect time!

  12. Taking risks, going their own way...yeah, those journalists are pretty safe. Charging into police caterpillar lines, braving cell phone lovelies, challening charcitiers, vying with Voltaire, lurking around lovers, and defying demonstrations. Ah, the adventure of ogling gala galleries!

Best of luck to your friends with their fascinating new adventure.

And dare I be egotistic enough to note that I have the same birthday as Bob Dylan? (Er, May 24.)

  13. LOL on the "too old thing". In theory you're right, there is no age to take risks. But there are different periods in life...

At the moment I don't feel like working 14 hours a day hoping that business will pick up. I'm OK enjoying my daylight work and my "night time work" on PDP.

Jeff, mon ami, may I wish you a happy birthday then, I know your age and, well, I think in your head you're much younger than I am!

  14. I was in the Le Passage Verdeau last Oct and there was a jewelry store that sold little silver skulls, I am wondering if they took over that space. It looks about the same size. I wish them 'Bon Chance'in their new venture! From one jeweler to another!
