Touristy bags...

How about something light for today? I found these bags in a tourist shop in Montmartre and although they are of debatable taste(!) I could not help laughing when I saw them. I suppose they perfectly fit the common image of the sexy French woman who, as we all know, spends her time dancing the Cancan in sexy outfits! I wish you a very good week end, warmer than in Paris ;)

  1. Possiby my favourite word in French .... balconniere. It says so much in the one word.

  2. Bonjour:

Truly the height of horrid taste.

My uncle used to own a five and dime store in the 50's and this is just the type of junk he would find entertaining and think his customers would as well.

Now you probably would only find this junk in a sex shop of a ....... shop.

Steve in grey Chicago. (I understand grey in in, in Paris this year)

And I wish you some warm Autumn weather. It sounds as if you could use some.

  4. He, he, ... very amusing. And for those who wonder about good manners and frivoleous expenses: you can reuse it for Halloween.

  8. Ham, in French there is an expression that goes : "Il y a du monde au balcon" - Meaning "Her balconnière is well garnished..."

  9. Ham, I supose you mean "un balconnet"

une balconnière is for flowers and plants outside your window ;o)

Maybe I could use those bags with flowers in, hu hu

  10. My word, debatable taste indeed i agree! They do look rather cheap and nasty to me but... nevertheless they pull me in quite horribly. I can see myself walking around the eiffel tower in my black jeans with that black one bumping against my bottom full to bursting with nasty/delightful Eiffel Tower souvenirs. Perfect. There's a bag for every occasion, believe me. I adore bags! More than shoes, yes!
