Paris through a bridge

There is nothing more beautiful than a view of the Seine from a Paris bridge. And when this view happens to be at dawn (well almost at dawn!) it's even more beautiful. Here is what I could not help but photographing this morning on my way to work. This bridge is called Le Pont Notre Dame and it takes you to the Isle de la Cité. It overlooks the Pont d'Arcole under which a Péniche (flat boat) is passing. Have a nice Saturday everyone, I'm on my way to Le Perche (a region outside Paris) for the weekend.

  3. Beautiful, Eric. I like the gold splashed on the water and the reflection of the sun in the curlicue. Thanks for bringing peace to a hectic Friday.

Eric, this photo is just dreamy. Which is what I'm always doing at that hour. You get the better shots, I get more sleep! :) I took a shot through a bridge near here but don't think it's this one. Gorgeous!!!

  10. The spiral shape brings to mind the way the arrondissements are arranged in that Paris Daily Photogenic city—also with the Seine running through them.

If Tomate can’t visit here so well maybe we should visit Tomate.

  16. Great photo! Tall Gary! Good to hear from you again.

I can access the website, but the photos are not blowing up to the full screen size they were before - it made me wonder if some commands had been changed. Is there a mole at work??!!

Eric - you lead a wonderful life!!!

  19. Shell- I agree, but the other 51% tempts me to stay in bed.

So that's what the 'almost dawn' looks like. Thanks Eric!

Looking at this photo, I feel the onset of Paris Deficiency Syndrome.

Don't you believe Paris City loves you each time she sees you taking picture of her? I do think so...

  22. Tomate -- I'm not having the same problem as you're experiencing (you poor thing!), but it takes a looong time for the site to open. Anyone else finding that?

  24. This is breathtaking! I love the gold color and the scrollwork, the contrast between hard elements and the water. Simply amazing. I agree with what Annonymous said... "I love the way you love Paris". You have such an artistic eye! I could take photos for a week and never get something so beautiful. Thank you! Valorie

  25. I can feel the atmosphere of the city by looking at this photo. The Seine is wihtout a doubt one of the most beautiful scenes there is.
It always made me stop, sigh and be late for whatever appointment I had cause I just couldn't help standing and staring for hours.

  26. Alexa and Tomate I also had a lot of trouble loading PDP. But it seems fine now? Weird.

Anyway I am back with Eric in Paris. Oui! Metaphorically speaking that is. lol

Lynn is right. This is Paris. THIS is Eric Tenin.

A morning walk along the Seine with Eric and his camera sounds wonderful. Why worry about getting up early? Stay up all night!

Je vous souhaite un bon week-end.
