Mysterious Collage...

Funny collage isn't? But it becomes much more interesting as you get closer. You obviously can't because you're viewing this on PDP and not at rue des Blancs-Manteaux where I took this photo, but if you click here, you'll see a blow up and I'm sure you'll recognize what this mosaic really is about ;-)

  1. LOL. Excellent Eric. Thanks, just the laugh I needed at the end of a long, long day.

  2. Were those tiny photos individually put on the wall, or was the entire work a photograph of an already "done" work? Either way, I am impressed at the amount of work it took to make.

  5. It looks like its one poster sized photo of smaller photos made into a collage - you can see the upper left hand corner peeling off. It makes me laugh, too. Their noses are getting longer and longer.....

  8. How incredibly clevery! I presume only a computer could create such an amazing design?

  9. I too often wonder how they do this - how could they get just the right coloured images to make it work. But now (that I'm older and wiser) I reckon they just put any old images up and paint the image over them in transparent paint. Dunno, but that's my theory. It is fun. Rue des Blancs-Manteaux, you say? Hmm, could be worth a visit. But then I also have to go and take that red Wallace fountain too, and so much more, so little time, oh dear :-(

  13. Just remember that you vote these people into office. Everyone thinks elected officials are dishonest--except the ones you voted for. MY party is honest, but the other ones aren't.

You get the government you vote into office, assuming you live in a nation where you are allowed to vote, and assuming that the elections are generally reliable.

That said, this Pinocchio is a nice piece of art.

  15. Awesome photo. Amazing how they make something out of all different images. Reminds me of the artist Chuck Close's works.
