Golden Blog Awards night

I'm just back from the... French Golden Blog Awards night that was taking place at the Hotel de Ville (city town hall). Huge event, very successful, so successful I had to wait 3 quarters of an hour outside before entering (see the little red square at the end of the line? The entrance was way beyond that point!). It was worth it though, the event was nice, the scenery was too (remember the ceiling?) and the company even more. Did I win an award? Nah, I did not, but the competition was really tough, so it's fair. Sorry I cannot show you the winners yet, because they haven't been posted on the Golden blog awards site yet, but I will (yeah, cause that's the kind of guy I am ;-))

  1. Is this for real? There is a Golden Blog Awards?
Sorry for my ignorance, I'm relatively new to the blogworld and this just sounded too funny.
On a serious note, you should've received an award.
    Seriously.

  2. Who needs awards when you have the undying love and gratitude of your devoted PDPers? You are always a winner to us!

  3. Of course that's the kind of guy you are! That's why we already know you're the best - oh, and you take a mean photo, too!! This one's got a certain lovely gold and blue combination together with a Reverse Tenin Perspective (were you standing on a bench?) done just to throw off the competition. ;) PS - Can I call for a recount?

  12. Hey, don't worry Eric, I didn't win either. Although I've heard a rumour that you actually have to officially enter to officially lose, is that right ;~Sab

(I spit in the eye of award ceremonies - they mean absolutely nothing IMHO)

  15. I think you should have won.
Hope you didn't stay up too late preparing your acceptance speech.

After Fifty, yes the Golden Blog award is for real but did you know that....
Once upon a time, in the far off land of PDP, there was a Golden Finger award which you would have won as the first to comment, if it still existed, which it doesn't, so you didn't.
    The end.

  16. You win in my book!! Love this photo and the light! You look like the guy walking toward the camera in the black coat. Would have loved to have attended this. I just ordered some lovely Christmas Cards from your selection of Paris Photos. Thank you for sharing Paris and your talent. Very excited to receive them and then mail them. They are going only to my VERY favorite people on my list!! Valorie
