Culture menu!

Paris bridges and buildings offer a wide variety of photo opportunities I agree, but sometimes the most casual scenes you come across also make interesting photos. Hence this one, that I took last night at the Pompidou Center, where I attended Le Carrefour des Possibles, a very interesting event - in which they used polltogo, which, of course, made it even more interesting ;). On the way out, I saw this perfectly lit big panel which lists the Pompidou Center events of the month and pulled out my camera as quickly as I could!

  2. "polltogo" we are definitely entering into "Geek Land".

Speaking of the Pompidou Center, it has always reminded me of a Fernand Léger painting.

  5. I am a little confused, I thought that PollToGo was French app, but on the web site I see that it's registered in Canada...eh? :)
In January I'll be teaching in Vancouver and I will try it out with my students.
It took me few minutes to understand how it works but for the younger generation it will take few seconds :)

  9. You're absolutely right Eric - when we run out of Eiffel shots we just have to go into galleries and say, but it was taken in Paris my dear! and we're covered! How lucky are we?!

And I miss sooo many great exhibitions - thanks for the nudge ;~Sab

  11. Wonderful! (I can't imagine being in a place where so many events are happening...in just one month! It is a lovely photo, you captured it perfectly.

What would you choose on a culture menu?

  12. Anonymous, those of us who prowl the dark and lonely streets at night LIKE the shadows.

Christie, I'll have a side order of fries with a poll to go.

It looks like he's standing in moonlight.

I have come to love the Pompidou Center. It took a couple visits, but I really enjoy it now.

  16. @Martin "I am a little confused, I thought that PollToGo was French app"

Actually no, it's a Canadian company, but I have 50% of it. So I suppose that makes it a Franco-Canadian entity! It does not really matter really, as polltogo addresses everyone on the globe.
Let me know if you need some help using it (I can even credit your polltogo wallet with a few credits if you plan to use it with more that 20 students; just email me your login.

@Lynn and Carrie "Your photos just get better & better, Eric!" Thaks mesdames... I don't think so really, it's mainly luck! I'm so busy at the moment that I don't jhave the time to look for the perfect scene ofr event, so I try to shoot what I can, when I can...
