Skating by the Eiffel Tower...

Paris is really beautiful at the moment, I wish you all could be here! Last evening I discovered by sheer coincidence that they installed an ice rink by the Trocadero, facing the Eiffel Tower (a nice change from the one at Hotel de ville that I photograph every year). Huge success! And what a scenery for a PDP photo!

  2. I love how you captured the sense of motion with the stillness of the ET.

Hey, where are you, ET Suzy?

  3. Wow! Lights, lights, and more lights (for the past 3 days). Well, Paris is the city of light, and you've captured them perfectly, Eric. I guess when I move back to Paris, I'll have to bring my skates, eh?

  7. Eric,

The blue/white color palette of this shot makes you really feel the chill in the air {photo}. Brrr, it's cold outside... lol. The movement is nice too. Lovely shot!

  11. woaw - great! Shall go there.... Thank You

Eric, do you know by any chance until when the ice rink is there?

I particularly dig the ferry wheel spinning nicely in the background... makes me smile!

Out to gather leaves in my garden, the sun is shining for a change and it's just simply lovely!!!

  12. *Sigh* What a lovely scene. I ALMOST want to be there, but I think I would miss my hometown and family too much to not be here this year. Then again, if someone wants to give me a trip, I'll be packed and ready to go this afternoon! :)

  16. I just saw a special on France24 about Le Web, that conference that you, Eric, attended last week. They said that the "conferences are very expensive to attend -- $2000". Eric, I didn't know that you were so wealthy. =) Also they said that "not creative people attend -- just the place to be seen." They showed that Schmidt of Apple and Karl Lagerfeld were there. I thought I would pass this along for those who are interested. I know it has nothing to do with ice skating.

  17. @Lois. "Also they said that "not creative people attend -- just the place to be seen." Frankly that's a bit biased. It's the only conference in Europe where you can see that many big shots of the world Internet scene. It's a little expensive, true, but it's really worth it (well, in my opinion - but I am a geek remember LOL!)
