Invalides in black and white

I went to a Galette Party today (a galette is a cake that people eat to celebrate the Epihany (a Christian feast) after Christmas) and on the way back I passed by Les Invalides. It was a beautiful evening (it's still warm in Paris at the moment here) and I felt like taking a photo. I made a black and white one, for a change...

  2. That must have been some party, since there doesn't appear to be anyone out & about on the streets by the time you took this picture ;-).

    Did you find la feve???

  13. If you go way way over to the right and then walk a block, you will come to my apartment last June. I was there the whole month and still miss it! I loved the cannons in front of the Invalides, always pointed out!

Or ditty, if it works for you.

  15. I was part of the National Youth Wind Ensemble of Scotland many moons ago, and we did a tour of France as part of our summer week.

Les Invalides was one of our concert venues, and I'll never forget it.

  16. I feel like this isn't the first time you've captured Les Invalides sans traffic. Well done and gorgeous in b&w!
Hope you had a wonderful time at the Epiphany party.
