Last Christmas decorations...

Pretty soon all Christmas decorations will be gone, so let me show you one last one. I found it at the Hotel de ville (town hall) - and not in the court yard of the Louvre Museum, where they also have pyramids! - Beautiful isn't? Nothing else to add - except that maybe I should think of taking down my Christmas tree now... ;-)

  1. I thought this was the Louvre! Very pretty. I just finished putting away the last of my Xmas decorations last night, so don't feel bad, Eric

  2. If it were up to me, white strings of light would be kept up year-round. I just love how they make everything look.

  5. I'm with Suzy and Jack. But then again they wouldn't be so special if we saw them every day. I took the last of my decorations down on the 6th Jan like I do every year. Not sure why I pick that date :)

  7. Paris is magic no matter when you're there, but I imagine Christmas is the most magical. What a beautiful picture.

  10. What beauty! Those are just gorgeous, and when taken with the building behind, breathtaking. Thanks for sharing!

I don't follow tradition and I take my decorations down early, usually by New Year's, mainly because I have a son whose birthday is January 8th. I want to switch gears, so he doesn't think of his birthday as an afterthought for Christmas!

  11. I saw these a few days' back and they're gorgeous! I hesitantly took down my tree this past weekend, it was so dry it had become a fire hazard.
    Great photo!

I took my tree down two days after Christmas. It's a job no matter when you do it!

  14. Gorgeous! Getting the tree up and decorated is a big job (and the reverse is worse), so I'm leaving mine up to enjoy a little longer.

  15. Very cool. As you may know, the decorations here in the States are gone by first of the year. It's kind of sad to see all these trees lining up on the sidewalk after being celebrated only a few days before people drag them outside last yesterday's news.
