Trocadero Esplanade

Yesterday I passed by the Trocadero Esplanade (anslo called "Le Parvis des Libertés et des Droits de l’Homme" - "the freedom and human rights esplanade") and by pure coincidence I attended a very unusual scene. Now, you cannot see what it was in this photo, you're going to have to wait until Julay 14 (Bastille day)... In the meantime I thought it was wtill worth a shot with my new fish eye camera (I have one of my own now!) even though you've seen it a million times here! At this time in the year, this esplanade is full of tourists and the only reason why it looks almost empty is that precisely the unusual scene I was talking about had just taken place... How is that for a teaser?!

  1. Nice looking lens, Eric. Makes me feel queasy just looking at all that inwards curving.

Just that number of tourists is quite sufficient, thank you very much.

  2. Wow—you found the perfect place to use that nifty new lens (and the perfect perspective, of course)! And you've definitely piqued my curiosity.

  3. Quel suspense !

Definitely worthy of such a chant. Gorgeous picture. Now I can't wait til the 14th...but does this mean we won't get our traditional fireworks shot? Ooh, the mystery!

  9. LOL. And the winner is Marylène for guessing John Travolta was going to dance on Bastille day on the Trocadero ! (What is she on ?! LOL)

YOu'll find out soon enough. ONly 5 more days to wait, it's bearable, isn't it?!

  10. Apart from the usual what really stands out are those sumptuous, fluffy clouds! What a beautiful day this must have been in Paris.

Can't wait for the surprise. Disappointed it's not John Travolta!!

  11. My guess: they were shooting a movie or tv show and cleared the plaza. ==Elizabeth
