From the rooftop of Le Printemps

Yesterday (Monday) I had a meeting near Gare Saint Lazare and on the way back I passed by Le Printemps department store. I started taking photos when I suddenly saw someone on the rooftop... I then realized they have a nice terrace up there and I decided to check it out - which was a first for me! I did not regret it! The view is stunning, (the "greek temple" in the background is La Madeleine church) and I really recommend it. Not to forget they also have chairs and tables outside which must be very enjoyable in summer.

  1. First time at Café des 2 Moulins; first time at the top of le Printemps. It's impressive! What will you surprise us with next, Eric? Will have to follow in your footsteps. I have to say every time I go to le Printemps, I must hit le Café Pouchkine. Yum...

  2. Oh yes, it is one of the best view of Paris. Whenever I am in Paris, I have lunch on the Printemps terrace.
You only have 105 "LIKE" on Paris Daily photo on Facebook. I am not sure people know about it. I didn't,
    mais maintenant, chose faite.

  3. This photo makes me want to go ASAP. There is a "pop up" one that is just for the winter at BHV. Gotta try it, too!

  4. Love those little flames in an otherwise icy world. Nice hour (the blue hour) to make pictures.

  8. Bd Haussmann, Paris 9e, opening hrs mon - sat 9h35 - 20h, thu - 22h. The thursdays make it a futher « Paris by Night » platform which is quite different from the « normal ans overdone » spots like Tour Montparnasse, Tour Eiffel and Sacre Cœur ;)

  9. Wonderful photo Eric! This one truly makes me miss your gorgeous city! My husband and I have been discussing the possibility of a trip this spring or summer that would include Paris, and this just makes me even more excited about the possibility!

  10. Thanks for the photo, Eric. I'm surprised that Megan & I made it to the roof of Le Printemps to take photos before you did. ;)

  12. Amazing… You keep uncovering great places few outsiders ever see…

Printemps is by far my favorite shopping place of all time during the Christmas season… Un-matched anywhere in the world…

  13. Yes anonymous I WAS freezing LOL! But the view was breath taking and part of the café is indoor.

I agree with what some of you said, it's amazing I only discovered this place two days ago!

And Jeff, it's definitely a must for your list, I agree ;-)
