The little Munchkins of Agnès Baillon!

You might find them a little scary, but they aren't. I even find them really fascinating. "Them", are the little friends of Agnès Baillon, a French sculptor, who created them "almost by chance" - she says - just because she wanted to break away from her paint class that she was attending at Les Beaux Arts, the most famous French fine arts school. I saw them in an art gallery at rue Vieille du temple in Le Marais and could not help but stopping and have a better look at them. FYI, this is the exhibition poster that I shot outside the gallery.

  1. They have a mystical look. Most appealing but also a bit frightening.

  5. HI Eric, due to various circumstances, I only saw yesterday's post today, otherwise of course I would have commented. You remembered Och Aye!
    Pity about the result of the match (they should have stopped it at half-time) but I'm sure the Scottish fans had a great weekend and enjoyed the hospitality of their French hosts. No doubt one or two glasses of whisky were enjoyed. ;-}
    I hope your hearing has recovered from a bit of bagpipe bashing.

    Re today's pic, they really are quite mesmerizing these little friends who could so easily be little enemies.

  6. Can't decide if these little men are creepy or cute. Or both. They do have a bit of a hip-hop zombie look though, don't they? :~}
