A dry day!

Hurrah, we managed to see the sun for almost a whole day yesterday! It felt nice, so I went out near the Montorgueil area and too this photo at rue Réaumur, a typical street of the 2nd arrondissement. Nothing much to add, I just like the light in this photo ;-)

  1. After the weather you've been having, I'll bet you love the light! (And I'll take GF, since hackers are automatically excluded. :~}

  2. Congratulations on seeing the sun. I've been freezing all weekend. May 27? I would never believe it. It's the new Ice Age. Pretty soon we'll see woolly mammoths talking with sabre-tooth tigers. Then it will switch over night to jungle weather and air conditioning.

  3. My husband and I just returned from two weeks in Paris. I agonized over what to pack as I didn't want to look like the typical American tourist. It didn't matter what I packed though because all anyone saw was my pants, shoes, rain coat and scarf. It actually hailed one day last week while we were out, thankfully we were on one of the many wonderful city busses at the time. Oh well, the weather was a good excuse to indulge at Cafe Angelina and warm up with their amazing hot chocolate. We're expected 80s here in Ohio this week.

  4. love that Paris sky in the photo and hooray for sunshine! here in Ct today it was sunshine and 70 (from rain and 40s two days ago). By end of this week mid 90s are forecast with high humidity. btw..Upstate NY got over 3 feet of snow.

    My d-in-l in Paris was able to get to two playgrounds today with her little one to enjoy the sunshine. Anne

  5. Great photo! Especially the "tiny" person walking in the center between the buildings.

    1. Actually that is why I love it too! I wish the guy on the right had waited a little bit before crossing the street...

  6. Seeing the Ohio comment from Parislover2010 reminds me of a visit to Chicago. The hotel offered a wine reception every evening for the guests. I sat with an elderly Russian man and his young wife as well as a middle-aged couple from Ohio. I chatted with the Russian and his wife about Paris. The Ohio man owned a trucking company. His wife said she always wanted to go to Paris and we chided him for never taking her there. We described the beauty of Paris and insisted he take his wife there as soon as possible. She was glowing. I don't know if they ever made the trip.
