Paris in a nutshell!

To me this photo sums up Paris very well: the typical Parisienne, the river banks, the beautiful architecture and  a certain mystery (what is she looking at?! - and don't say the PDP picnic for it did not take place yet it's this Sunday (May 5th) at one o'clock at the "usual place" that is on the Quai at the end of rue de l'Amiral de Coligny). Am I being a bit repetitive?! Nah... I'm like lounge music, never exactly the same also it sounds the same ;-)

  1. d'Accord! Now we have a time for the picnic, 1:00. Excellent. I saw a painting in the Musee d'Orsay yesterday that showed the approach to our picnic site. Very fun. My Paris pal leaves to go home tomorrow, so I am on my own.

    Just for mystery, on Sunday I met a pretty lady I know from the U.S. in a creperie near La Muette. Serendipity. She has been avoiding getting together, but I am still trying. Unfortunately, she goes home Saturday. Alas. Or, maybe, pfft!

  2. All quintessentially Paris, as you say—including, unfortunately, the ugly modern skyscraper at the left edge of the photo. Sorry, but for me those things just spoil the otherwise incredibly beautiful skyline. :~{

  3. The first thing I notice is her shoes and I hope she doesn't have to walk far.

    1. Even if she does, I'm sure it's totally out of the question to wear sneakers or anything of the kind

    2. Yes! Even I don't wear sneakers in Paris, though my feet get very sore. But I wouldn't want to stick out.

    3. With the outfits that this young woman has, it is true that I do not see it with sneakers! But I personally could wear sneakers in Paris. Would just harmonize with my outfit :)

      Anyway, a lot of shoes are very comfortable today without necessarily being sneakers. As Camper, of course, and many more!

  5. A lot of mystery in Paris ?
    Don't know but I like to believe it.
    Like I happen to believe that "Breathing Paris, preserves the soul" (aka Victor Hugo words). Breathing Paris Daily Photo, may preserve the soul too.
    Anyway ! Have a nice picnic on Sunday !

    1. Yes, but you know I don't like to photograph people's face without a signed authorization!

  7. Thanks, Anonymous. I looked them up online. They remind me of the dance shoes I used to buy for acting and dance classes. You're right, very comfortable.
