Nice apartement in... Nice

For once, let me show you a photo not taken in Paris, but on the French Riviera! As a matter of fact you may have wondered why I was spending so much time in Nice lately... Well, it's simple, I was busy fitting an apartment in the old town (le Vieux Nice) to prepare it for renting to tourists. It was a lot of work, but I like to think the results are quite good. See for yourself here. It's called Le Douzy (a play on the French 12 "douze" and the definition of doo·zy (noun /ˈdo͞ozē/ 1. Something outstanding or unique of its kind)  And who knows, if you feel like visiting the French Riviera instead of (or in addition to!) Paris, why not?!  Sorry for the blatent advertising, but you have to admit I have rarely taken advantage of  PDP to promote my business!

  8. Looks lovely Eric.
Will keep it in mind just in case there is an opportunity in the future on our way back from Corsica.

  9. Just had the tour, it's great! I'm sure you will have no shortage of customers. Can you re-decorate my house please?

Set me daydreaming about my summer holiday next year - a little trip to Paris, hop on the TGV for a week in Nice (in your apartment, of course), a few nights in Barcelona then a short flight to Menorca to chill out on the beach. Dream on.......

  11. What do you mean you "never used PDP to promote your business???"....What about all that SPIRULINA I bought from you???? I'll bet that is where you got the cash to decorate this place with goodies from the Conran Shop???? Are you sure you don't need a Concierge?? I make a very good Pot-au-Feu! LOL!!!

    1. What is SPIRULINA??

There is nothing from the Conran shop in there, let me tell you! A concierge sounds like a very good idea actually ;-)

    2. Oh just another California "Health Fad" that became very big with a certain group....

  12. What a beautiful apartment! Sadly I travel as a single person so this great space would be wasted on me. Wish you had something smaller, but I'm sure many will enjoy staying here and it's incredibly bon marché! :-)

    1. Yes, it's really not targeted at single travelers. More for 4 for instance, in which case it's really more affordable than a hotel.

  13. Looks beautiful, Eric. Visited Nice in April and loved wandering through Old Nice. If I make it back there your apartment is where I'd want to stay.

  16. It's great to have such good photos on the ad! We stayed at a similar place in Roma and we could see in the photos that it was a nice, but there were no Tenin perspectives or much thought at all to style with the photography. I haven't been in Nice since 1984...

  17. I've just posted this to my little phalanx of Francophiles. So reasonable to share. I don't know Nice at all (except from Dufy paintings), although I once spent a week in Juan les Pins.

  18. Eric, do you have an apartment for rent like this or smaller in Paris?
