Souvenirs from last year...

Last year around the same period, Paris was full of snow. Before leaving I thought it might happen again, so I took a few snow shots with me ;-) "Unfortunately", I keep checking the weather in Paris everyday and I don't see any snow alert (unlike in New York!). But I don't resist posting this one. It's the Opera and it's the first time I've this area covered in so much snow. Beautiful, isn't it?

  1. Où sont les neiges d'antan. Et où sont les pluies de cette année, on cri en Californie.

Where are the snows of yesteryear? And where are the rains of this year . . .?

  2. Yes, it is beautiful. The Opera is always beautiful, and so is the snow, especially when I don't have to shovel it :)

  3. As much as I dislike the cold, I think I could enjoy it in Paris.

A lovely, lovely photo, Paris en presque silence, c'est beau et précieux, quelle scène sereine...

  6. Perhaps in fifty years or so, someone may see this photo and say, "I wish I could have visited Paris then, it was so much nicer then!"

  7. Oui! Absolutely gorgeous—and so strange to see that intersection with only one car in it!

  8. Hey Jeff, talk about a hard life, I am still here in SoCal and while trying to avoid sunstroke during the day some of us have been terribly inconvenienced by our own snow.

  9. Even more impressive is the fact that there is hardly anyone on that shot ! Wow, that's REALLY unusual for that location.
