And the top 100 most expensive Paris streets are...

Tempted to move in Paris to start a new life or to retire? Well, you'd better play the lottery first, because a magazine just released the top 100 most expensive Paris streets list and, well, the least you can say is that some of them are out of reach of most people (especially Parisians LOL!). This year (for yes, it changes every year) the most expensive arrondissement is the 7th (near the Invalides), and especially the Quai d'Orsay where each square meter costs 17 000 € on average... If you're poor and can't afford it, you might try finding a deal in the cheapest street of this list, the rue de La Sourdière in the 1st arrondissement, where a square meter only costs 10 961 € (I told you: a real bargain!). More (in French only) on the magazine's site.

  2. This is a beautiful shot! Alas, I guess my dream of a rue Jacob apartment will remain a dream.

  3. A grand, grand view!

Paris is a city to be visited, it seems, but settling down is meant for other places.

  4. Interesting! And scary! Luckily, I've adjusted my dream life to include a home less than an hour away from Paris rather than in Paris itself. That leaves me more money for my dream diet of banana nutella crepes.

    Facile ! :)

  6. Very interesting ... The Parisian real estate is one of my big questions...
Question de tempérament, sans doute.

  7. I once lived on one of them (rue de l'Université), and I was a poor student then! Am amending my dream from a home in Paris to one in the nearby banlieus—soon it will be les bidonvilles, I'm afraid.

  10. Wonderful semi-panoramic skyline image, But do I really see that some owner has extended their apartment over the sidewalk and even over the street to gain more space?
Haussmann would throw a fit if he saw this "extension!"

    1. No Stevrino, it's a construction/renovation site and that is a prefabricated office trailer for the construction company. French take their construction very serious.
