Bagatelle park

I promised I would tell you where the Belvedere I posted 2 days ago is... Well here is the answer (even though someone already mentioned it in the comments!): it's in the gardens of Bagatelle, a free entrance park (except between June 6 and November 2, 2014 located in the Bois de Boulogne not far from Porte Maillot and where you feel like miles away from Paris. I love it. They also have a rose garden, but I didn't go this time. This is the Orangerie (orange garden)

  1. It's lovely, Eric. At least on a day like this, it feels like a peaceful place.

    1. You were?! Nice isn't it? And not too difficult to go to from Paris.

  3. This is gorgeous! (It reminds me of the Orangerie at Kew Gardens -- my first thought, then I realized, Nope, that's London!) This may have to go on our list....

  4. I've never been to the Bois de Boulogne. I don't want to feel miles away from Paris!
Re the marathon pic yesterday, an acquaintance of mine was running it, I hope he's still alive......

    1. I hope so too (for your acquaintance) !
Sometimes it is very nice to feel far from Paris, Drummond, you know. Sometimes, Paris is just so unbearable.... Les jardins de Bagatelle are really nice and welcoming !
      But I still love Paris.

  7. Are you on strike today, wednesday, Eric or have you decided to stay at Bagatelle a while ?
I am sure you need a rest and Bagatelle is a nice place to stay far enough from Paris but not too far.
As you may want to post something today like every day and you may have done something wrong with blogger, I am warning you that at the time I am writing, I have seen no new post today !
I am worrying about you because as a marathon man, and even if you are totally free of course to post or not............, I must check whether you are still running......... :p Or feeling bad.

  8. I am worried about you, too. I hope you are just taking a well deserved break. Perhaps you have photographer's block. I am looking forward to your next beautiful Parisian post.
