Like every last Saturday of June, the Gay Pride took place in Paris last weekend. And like every year I took a zillion photos, even though it's not very different from one year to another! I selected this one, which may look to you like it was taken during a trip in Africa of Brazil (this guy is actually Brazilian), but no, I promise, it was taken at the top of Boulevard Saint Michel! Please have a look at the ParisDailyPhoto Youtube channel and check what I made with all the material I brought back (photos and video), I spent far too much time editing them LOL!

Gay Pride 2010

See, I wanted to make up for yesterday's photo which I really do not think meets the standards I want to have here! But I'm afraid this one is going to freak you out too LOL! Sorry, I have to stick to the news, and the news on Saturday in Paris was... the annual Gay Pride. I will spare you the zillion photos I always take there for they really look like the ones of last year, the one of the year before and the one of the year before, even, but I just thought this one was funny in its own way... And, did I mention the weather is gorgeous in Paris at the moment?!

Paris Gay Pride 2009
Last weekend was really busy. After the group moonwalk that I posted yesterday, I rushed to Bastille, to reach the end of the 2009 Paris Gay Pride. It was not very different from last year of course, only this time I've tried to get a broader view, in order to get a Paris monument in the picture... Here you go! This big dome in the background belongs to the Pantheon and it's located 1,25 mile away from where I took the photo (yes, it was a clear day!). Like always I took a zillion photos. Have a look at this little Animoto if you want to see them.

Paris Gay pride 2008

Between 500 000 and 700 000 (depending on the sources) people took part in the Paris Gay Pride last Saturday (it usually takes place on the last Saturday of June). Of course, it's primarily a political movement (this year's theme was "homophobia at school"), but it's also a very festive moment, full of music, colors and costumes. Needless to say it's a super occasion to take great photos (see here my little Animoto) . FYI, Homosexuality in France has been made legal since 1981 and same sex partners can sign a civil union contract pretty similar to a marriage except that it does not allow them to adopt children.

Paris Gay Pride

Today is June 30 and like last year and the year before about 500 000 "gay priders" are going to march from Montparnasse to Bastille between 1:30 pm and 6 pm. This year I won't be able to attend and take tons of photos, since I only return to Paris on Monday. That is why, I decided to cheat and show you a photo I took last Sunday during the San Francisco Gay Pride. Let's face it, apart from some very graphical scenes (I'm talking VERY graphical!) that you would never see here, the SF march is not very different from the one in Paris.
Discuss the Paris Gay Pride and many other Paris related topics in the PDP forum.
