So I did have to go out today (to pick up my latest presents I ordered online!) and I could not resist grabbing one of these excellent crèpes that they sell everywhere at the moment. I had a chestnut one stuffed with crème de marron (only in French, I did not see any entry in English spread). Yummy! The woman was really wondering why I would take that many photos during her making the crèpe ;-) Anyway, I thought this would put a smile on your face to see how greedy I am (and why I have to go to the gym every other day LOL!) Have a wonderful Christmas eve tonight everyone, for those of you who celebrate Christmas of course.

Yummy -- I'll take one of those please.
ReplyDeleteHo Ho Ho, The French are the 'champions of the world' -- according to a magazine headline in France this week ranking the most pessimistic countries. France came in #1 (again) this year out of 51 countries. Oh bah, humbug. 8-s
Happy Holidays to all! Lovely photos and sentiments these last days - I've missed being able to post - but I did find another kindred PDP-type spirit at a checkout counter! (I bought a poster of the Arch de Triomphe).
ReplyDelete: ) Hopefully she'll drop in!
Love your hand reaching for the crepes.
ReplyDeleteArrgh, the distance from where we sit from that crepe, vs. your distance, are what sugarplum dreams are made of.

ReplyDeleteHappy holidays to you. May you always be blessed with delicious crepes :-)
ReplyDeleteEric: greedy is definitely not the word I would associate to anything you do. You are one of the most generous person I know.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your chestnut spread crepe (yes, that's what we call it here) and maybe even some marrons glacés ... oh.. I drool just thinking about them.
uhmmm...love crèpes and a chestnut one sounds delicious.
ReplyDeleteI wish you, Eric, and all the lovely PDP'ers a very Merry Christmas.
This post is a perfect example of why I love PDP! Thanks to you, there's always something new and intriguing to add to the "next time I see Paris" list.
ReplyDeleteThis morning, I realized that nearly a year has passed since I discovered PDP...it's such a lovely way to start the day...like a little gift in the inbox. : ) Wishing you (and all the PDP-ers) a blessed Christmas and much happiness in the New Year.

Yum, yum, YUM!! Oh, I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. :)
ReplyDeleteMerry CHRISTmas to all! Enjoy your day.
Merry Christmas Eric and all at PDP.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy xxx
That sounds delicious. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love all the Santa hats in the background.
You are not greedy at all, in my opinion, one of the most generous people I know, well I don't really know you, but I feel as though I do.
Merry Christmas in Paris, Eric!
Christmas if a time for food as well as merriment and gifts. Which reminds me of the often hated fruitcake. (Yes, it makes sense that I'd talk about fruitcake, and all the other clever jokes.) I think it's true that most people don't like the suspicious flavor of citron and so they don't like fruitcake. Fruitcake originally was a way to preserve fruit for the winter. Here's a link to a story about it. I like how fruitcake was considered a wealthy person's treat. http://minnesota.publicradio.org/display/web/2011/12/15/dara-fruitcake/
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Season's Greetings, Happy Hanukkah, and just enjoy the weekend. I'm not huge on Christmas, but people do make an effort to get together and enjoy friendships. That's where I'm going with all this, mes amis de PDP! I wish I could see you all again or meet those of you I've not met. YET! HO HO HO...
Oh yummm! Merry Christmas, Eric!
ReplyDeleteQuick word (I'm late dressing up for Christmas eve dinner!) Thanks a million everyone. I'll be back tomorrow...
ReplyDeleteHave a good Xmas Eric and thanks for your continued efforts over the last year. I really don't know how you manage to keep enough images in store!
