Last Friday I had the pleasure of joining a group of students from Miami University (Ohio, USA) who are currently travelling in Europe and wanted to meet "true French people" and expatriates "in the flesh". It was really interesting and fun (they were really smart!). Since dinner was at Café Kléber on the Place du Trocadero, we walked towards the famous esplanade! The weather was stunning, the tower was in good shape and so were the showmen and women who were performing in front of the tourists. See for yourself!
Did you find any true French people for them? Or expats in the flesh? I can't imagine how you would know anyone like that.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! When my boyfriend and I came to Paris in 2010, this is the same view we had (a little darker) as we walked towards the Tour Eiffel. It was my boyfriend's first time to Paris and first time seeing the Eiffel Tower in person. He just stopped in his tracks, and it was like you could the angels singing!
ReplyDeleteIt's been so long now since I've been to Paris, I'm beginning to think it was all a dream and the French people I met in the flesh were only figments of my imagination.
ReplyDeleteMagic...love it!!
ReplyDeleteThat's very vibrant, I've been working with 15 y/o - 17 y/o this past week. Aren't they just too beautiful! They just love this.

ReplyDeleteLooks like you all had a great time and I love the photo.
Speaking of Eiffel Tower, here's a great link to an interactive 360 degree view from the tower.
