Weird encounter

Here is a photo I took under one of the arches of the Cours du Louvre, but I know nothing about this weird encounter! I looked everywhere on the web and could not find a thing! Maybe it's to promote le Au galop parcours, a horse centric journey into the Louvre museum, but I doubt it. Or maybe is it just a prank!

  1. If I'm not mistaken that's a lamp design from Moooi. But it's kinda funny spot to place it :)

  4. It's the new horse headlight for riding in the dark. Only problem is you need a very long electrical lead if you are going any distance.

  5. It is a massive decorative lamp apparently ... for those who have a LARGE apartment ...! What about a wireless model, Drummond ...?! You made me laugh and I have the picture in mind :)

  6. oh I have that one in my stables for nightly visits of my horses :)
I'm quite sure I've seen similar lamps in fancy Parisian interior design shops.... they're huge and quite lovely if you like that style (and have a huge house!)
    made me smile :)

  7. I know I saw it in an English interior magazine too:

    http://www.frenchbedroomcompany.co.uk/store/lighting/floor-lamps/product/moooi-horse-designer-floor-lamp

It IS huge and really eccentric and guess what: It's a company called The French Bedroom Company who's selling it....

  8. Reminds me of all the painted cows we had in Chicago about 10 years ago.
Unfortunately these horses are a commercial product and I guess the one you photographed is probably part of a promotional campaign.
I personally think they are in horrid bad taste. (with my nose up in the air! LOL0

  9. I saw the same horse at the Salon du Chocolat last year. It was in a room off to the side. I have a picture as proof.
