Striking installation!

The Louvre Pyramid has sheltered the work of artists many times. At the moment, it's a piece by French artist Claude Lévêque who installed a huge red lighting from the top to the bottom. Very impressive and beautiful. I went last evening to photograph it, especially for you! If you want to see it for real, you still have some time... It'll be there until 2015!

  3. Eric, it is truly spectacular. I originally thought that the idea of a glass pyramid in front of the Louvre was terrible. I have since completely reversed my opinion. This wonderful installation makes me even more impressed with the pyramid.

    1. A lot of French people felt the same and came to the same conclusion as yours!

  5. I have not been to Paris for almost four years and this picture makes me long to breathe in the wonder of one of my most favorite places. Thank you for taking the time to take this photo along with every other photo for PDP. It's something I look forward to every morning as I wake to meet the day. I teach geology, astronomy and Earth science (which also have daily pages), but sometimes sneak in a peek to PDP with my students....

    1. "but sometimes sneak in a peek to PDP with my students...." LOL It almost sounds like you're doing something illegal ;-)

Merci anyway for your nice compliments.

  10. How great ! The red color is impressive. Something that makes me think of the red stop behind the cars lights. A thiner thing, a red line. Something I am thinking can exist inside me ! :-) My own red line.
