Swimming pool time!

There are no less than... 38 public swimming pools in Paris, of which 4 open air ones where you can swim and get a tan for only 3 € a day (even for less if you buy 10 tickets at once!). Of course, if you go during weekends they are pretty packed, but during the week (except Wednesdays when kids don't go to school) it's OK. You can also go to private swimming pools, if you can afford them, like this one, the piscine Molitor, I already told you about about a month ago. BTW, last month I had the great honor of being interviewed by Ibarionex Perello, for a famous photo podcast called The Candid Frame, if you want to know more about the "PDP story", well listen to it ;-)

  1. That's an amazing pool!

    I get in a swim five or six nights a week. It's great exercise.

  3. I was going to link to the podcast if you didn't, Eric.

    Ibarionex and I live near each other. I've taken his workshops and been inspired by him, as I have been by Eric. Oh and I think I introduced you two, didn't I? Just a small brag!

  4. Way to go, Petrea! That podcast has just kept me up until 1 AM (but worth the lost sleep).
    Eric, I love this shot and hope you enjoyed your swim! :~}

  5. Eric, that was a wonderful interview - thanks for sharing this and congratulations! It was such a treat to hear you talk about your PDP project. If it's possible, I'm even more in awe of you!

    I'm interested in the fully clothed folks in the right part of this photo.

  6. This interview of you from Ibarionex was really nice to hear, Eric, even in English (for the French that I am !)!! Yes even in English I could get what you were saying (and needless to say I am proud I did so. Ibarionex was much harder to understand for me... but I mostly got the whole meaning) ! That was nice !
    Well, I did not really learn anything that I did not know previously because I think I have quite a good acknowledge of PDP but I really enjoyed this time spending with both of you :) I specially loved hearing what you talked about the photo you took one time of the Orsay museum,, with the rain and the clouds, while coming back from work and being pretty happy of the result. What you said about Petrea was also great to hear.
    Bon courage for the following posts until your deserved freedom from such a commitment !! Prepare yourself to not brush your teeth anymore or not take a shower anymore ; that is as simple as that, isn't it what you meant ? :)

    1. Flore, your English is excellent. I wish my French were as good, just to speak it. Writing it is even harder!

      Thank you for your always kind words ; you are encouraging me and this is nice from you :)

      Here is what, in my opinion, is the photo Eric was referred to in his itw.
      He'll correct me, if I am wrong...

    4. Thank you Flore! I remember this photo very vividly. It was cold and rainy, I was heading home and thought to myself that I had no photo for the night, stopped on this bridge quickly, pulled the trigger and left!
