Picking up confetti!

It's the Easter holidays in France at the moment (Paris is slightly emptier than usual). Before they went on vacation, some of the kids of the school near my home had a fancy dressed party and it was really cute to watch them march to the local town hall where they would probably have an Easter egg hunt or something. The funniest - and most touching - scene was this little girl trying to consciously pick up all the confetti she could from the pavement. A life allegory, no doubt!

  2. I can see that taking awhile!

    The stones of the pavement are lovely.

  3. Great timing. Often these scenes last only a few seconds and then they're gone.

  4. All above is perfectly said... ! The photo is so beautiful.
    Taking awhile, great timing, touching, fantastic, cute boots, all true. Often feeling myself as a student, yes, what a life allegory ! With you, these scenes never last only a few seconds. They stay inside. I feel like I could speak hours about this photo but this is not a good idea :) Still, I got it quite well.

  5. Or, she could be saving a memory. We picked up confetti on vacation and saved it in our scrapbook (especially since it was in the shape of a castle!) and it was a great memory for me and my daughter. :) This is just precious.

  7. ... et elle prend son temps avant de rencontrer le loup...?
    Mais grand-mère comme tu as de grands yeux...?
    Mais grand-mère comme tu as de grands bras... ?
    Mais grand-mère comme tu as de grandes dents ...?
    En attendant elle collectionne les ... confettis consciencieusement (wow, ce mot !)...

  8. Great shot, Eric. Elle est trop mignonne! Makes me think of Venice, where you see traces of leftover confetti for months after Carnevale—also of the confetti I saved from a Rolling Stones concert. :~}
