A little treat

If you're not traveling on a budget and want a little treat while you're in Paris, well here is a way to spend your money! Drop your car right there, ask the voiturier (valet) to park it for you then start with an aperitif in the British atmosphere of the Westminster hotel Duke's bar then change for a more oriental scenery and move slowly to Le Celadon, a restaurant that you will not forget...

  1. You know somebody will ask that, I might as well go ahead and do it... Will they park my Velib bike? :-D

  2. I love it that you made this a black & white photo, adds a lot of charm to it, although this area is charming enough.
I wonder if when you left the Velib bikes in Place Vendôme you came across this hotel at rue de La Paix by accident or did you know exactly what you were looking for?

  3. The black and white with the valet sign highlighted in red and gold is a classy look. Is that your scooter parked across the street in front of that Smartie? :-)

  5. Oh la la la!!! Yesterday the Place Vendome...and those bikes were on the front page of the NYTimes...and today le Celadon!! Living it up Eric, ehhh?? LOL!!

I had a friend that worked for Warwick Hotels and we ate there a few years back. It was lovely, but later when I was singing "Autumn Leaves" on the batobus I got sick. I think it was the oysters! When I was singing "Autumn Leaves" somebody asked if I had just made up the song...I wanted to cry! Some folks live in bubbles...or le Celadon..LOL!!

  7. The more surprising is there's not many cars in this street.

  10. Oh yes well observed, that has got to be Eric´s scooter on the other side of the street. I´ll take the smart car right next to it. I´d sooooo love to have one of these... it fits me perfectly!!!

Eric don´t you have any friend that owns a smart car and can give me a ride in it so I can feel what´s like being in such a tiny car lol?!!!!

  11. These French journalists are making a good salary these days, n'est ce pas? The Westminster, Le Celadon, and probably a new suit or two at Stark & Sons across the street. (But where is the arm candy, M. Chevalier?)

  12. Man Eric, this photo is so beautiful it went straight to being my wallpaper! I mean, I know what a wonderful photographer you are, but this one is simply dee-vine! I'm going to be gushing about this one all day!

Michael, my brother loved your 24 remark. I admit I don't get it, as I haven't had a chance to ever watch it much.
