It's like summer in Paris at the moment; evenings are hot, everybody is out and so are the tourists... In fact, I'm just back from a delightful dinner with my father and on the way back home, I could not help but stopping at the Passerelle Debilly and taking this photo. I love this place. You must go there at night if you come to Paris!
Wow

Wow
Now ET Suzy, it is your turn
Oh my, I saw this and said, "Wow, wow, wow!" Opened up the comments and saw just that!
ReplyDeleteSo true, Phx cdg! Good call!
Eric, you have done it again! And I thank you for it!
Mammie
Marvelous photograph.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo!

Taking a break and decided to stop by PDP. Whoa! I feel like I'm there with this photo. Nice "Tenin angle." ;-) I see you've not lost your touch. We have had rain all day in the Middlewest--we'll take it any day over the twisters lately dotting the landscape! Well, back to the research grind. Merci for this slice of Parisian heaven all aglow.
ReplyDeleteI never got to the Passerelle Debilly but its definitely going on the list for next time! Its a beautiful photo! Merci - and hope you had a lovely time with your dad.
ReplyDeleteI've been following this blog for a few months now but never left a comment til now. I'm just getting into planning a trip for my birthday to Paris next Feb and checking this every day makes me more excited. You take the most beautiful photographs-thank you for sharing a little slice of Paris with us every day. This further strengthens my resolve to one day live in Paris!
ReplyDeleteA bientot,
Sarah
*Sigh*
ReplyDeleteI remember this view when a certain couple got engaged.
Gorgeous! Such a beautiful way to round off a lovely evening with your dad, Eric. I mean, YOUR lovely evening with your dad. Not mine. :)
ReplyDeleteQuite simply: lovely, Eric....You did it again!
ReplyDeleteThe photo is stunning or is it this very instant? Sure both.
ReplyDeleteAs much as the photo, your caption really moved me. Enjoy your father as you do ; as you know, many people are not in a good shape in their 80s. I'd be proud of reading that one my children or any of my friends spent a delightful moment with me, in my 80s...
Thank you for sharing this slice of life and let me tell you that this passerelle has really something in your photos ;)
Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteI don't have the Tour Eiffel, but I did see the Pope on Sunday.
Ciao
NOW you tell me. :~} We did see the ET at night from the Trocadero on our recent visit, but next time I'm going to lie down on this bridge—just like you!
ReplyDeleteI'll have a Tenin-double-shot-of-The Eiffel Tower-with-a- twist-of-evening-sparkle-on-top, thank you...
ReplyDeleteBreathtaking, Gorgeous, Amazing. Wow. LOVE it! :) What is better than the Eiffel Tower at night? This is such a fun picture! I'm glad you had a good night and shared it with us on the way home. Btw, what is the Passerelle Debilly? Something new to check out. (Love the Tenin Perspective too--it makes the photo great.)
ReplyDeleteLOL Martin!
Martin is quite funny but as the line goes.... "I'll have what he's having!"
ReplyDeleteI am sure that by now your dad knows about the Tenin Perspective and probably joined you prone on the passerelle. Beautiful shot and so glad that you had the time with your dad!
Bises,

It is a great time to be in Paris. Super weather and a chance to take our own daily photos. We will get out to see the Tour Eiffel tonight after dinner.
ReplyDeleteSame weather in Sweden, we have had a few nice summer days in the last week.
ReplyDeleteStunning!! I guess this is going straight to my work computer as wallpaper!! Where all the great ET shots on PDP go!! LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteI love it! Can't wait for the conference too, it's going to be great. And I'm 100% with you on the boob sweat. It's just plain unnecessary! Very nice and impressive article you have posted.
ReplyDeleteSquare Envelopes
Eric, this is my new desktop screensaver, too!
ReplyDeleteI have subscribed to your blog and I LOVE waking up every morning with a Paris photo:)
Could you please tell me: what are your terms of use? IF I wanted to post this on my blog and link back to you, can I do that? Merci beaucoup! Trishia from FrenchKissed postcards
My favorite Bridge in Paris!!
