Express yourself!

Where does this irrepressible need to write, draw or paint on walls come from? It's hard to tell, but it started a long time ago with the cavemen, who did marvelous things (remember the Grottes de Lascaux that  I already mentioned some time ago). And it starts early too judging from this photo that I took on the left bank where they installed a huge blackboard (the one I shot for my Joyeux Noël post) where everybody can "tag" with a chalk. Children have a blast!

  1. Great idea (and great photo)—and it will save the walls too. :~}

  2. I love the photo. (No surprise.) I think the need to express one's self is innate. It can be encouraged or discouraged. My parents installed giant blackboards on two walls of our playroom. They each took up most of the wall. We created whole environments with them.

  5. Oh, what a grand concept! We all want to create some graffiti at some time or place(s).
    I are able to adjust the tilt of your screen you first see a "drawing" of the Eiffel Tower and then a red heart.

    I do remember the previous posting you mentioned. I believe you mentioned it is located at the Quai d'Orsay Embankment in the 7arr.

    If I every return to Paris, I must remember this location and bring my box of colored calk from my childhood!

    Greetings for a good year.

    Stef, still sniffing from a brutal bout of the flu in Chicago.
