The city down under

About 105 years after the first Paris Métro line (still in service and still called Line 1) the network has grown tremendously. According to various sources there are about 300 Métro stops (stations), separated on average by 543 meters (the longest distance between two stations - Bobigny-Pantin-Raymond/Queneau-Bobigny-Pablo Picasso - amounts to 2385 meters!). Due to the huge number of people travelling by metro everyday in Paris (about 1, 4 million) it has become a real underground city with shops, little cafés, vending machines…

  3. I used to love the Métro a lot more than I do now, but I don't actually hate it. Some stations are very neat (and you have shown us some, the Arts & Métiers one just a few days ago!

  5. I love the sound of a Metro train leaving a station...like a whirring roar, escalating in pitch. Love it

Il me plait beaucoup.

    Respectueusement,

    Kelly

  19. Really nice to go through back months on PDP!

We were supposed to leave yesterday. Finally not. I prefer staying here even stuck. Obviously, I am clearly encouraged to sleep on the sofa. Blame it on me.
