I'm still at the Women's Forum in Deauville until tomorrow evening and I thought this photo would be appropriate for the day ;) I took it in a hair dresser's shop close to the Edouard VII near Madeleine. That's all! Let me just wish you a nice weekend.
PS: since I'm going to be in NYC on Monday 27 and Tuesday 28 someone asked me if I would organize a little gathering in Manhattan. Are there several of you interested?
Ooo I'll take that red wig SVP.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend to you too Eric! Thanks for the fun this week!
I am! Oh, I forgot I live in CA. Maybe a group of us should fly out to NY. LOOOOOOL.
ReplyDeleteSeems to be a trend of showing hair and not faces. Works for me!
But what about the brunettes? Interesting shot..
ReplyDeleteWish I was close enough to Manhattan to come for a far away PDP party!! But Northern Michigan is just too far away from anything! (Except maybe Chicago, and that is still 6 hours by car.) Oh well, beautiful area is worth it! Have fun in Manhattan, Eric!! And have a safe flight!
That's different and it does have feminine flair. Soosha is going to like it I think. She has an interesting way of doing her hair, and I love her cousin It hair photo.
ReplyDeleteAlexa is in New York, there must be more PDP'ers close by. Otherwise, Alexa will have you all to herself. Lucky woman!
I'd love a wig, too, for all these bad hair days, and with winter and rain coming our way, there will be plenty of those in the near future, I'm sure. Nice shot!
ReplyDeleteI am *always* interested in going to NYC!!! Unfortunately I don't have enough miles, so I guess I must say no :( Have fun, and enjoy your East Coast based fans!
Hair. This photo inspires any number of thoughts. Some of which could best be described by the following words:
ReplyDeleteGliddy glub gloopy
Nibby nabby noopy
La la la lo lo
Sabba sibby sabba
Nooby abba nabba
Le le lo lo
Tooby ooby walla
Nooby abba naba
Early morning singing song.
With all that twinkling light glistening on those strands of fibrous keratinized protein it looks, indeed, as though a bit of starshine has bid us a good morning.
Oh yes I'm interested. Pity I can't make it! lol. I'd have gone all Sex and the City on you. Have a great time, Eric.
ReplyDeleteYes where are the brunettes? I do like the shot though. It's given me a break from a creepy film. I'm watching Judgement Night. I'm scared. I can't not look though! :(
ReplyDeleteThanks for the earworm, Tall Gary! At least it's a song I like.
ReplyDeleteEveryone else thinks it's a good film. I think it's plain scary. lol.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to meet on the 27th in NYC. Time and Place???
ReplyDeleteNO fair!!!!I come baCK FROM LHr to NYC ON THE 28TH AT MIDNIght. Oh well, it is not all about me even tho I would like to think so.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the wonderful company of ERIC to those of you NYer's who are lucky enough to be there. Call in sick from work, he is WELL worth it. A chance of a lifetime! Sorry it can't work for you, UKLynn.
Aaah, hair, something I don't have all that much of. Tant pis, but better chopped off as it is.
ReplyDeleteEric -- I was going to say something about getting together. Name a time and place, and I will be there with bells on. (Do you know any -- or all -- of the NYC bloggers? A great bunch.)
Lynn -- so sorry your schedule won't let you be here when Eric is in town :~(
Lois -- Eric all to myself? I should be so lucky, n'est-ce pas?
TG -- you never call, you never write. But thanks for that little trip back to one of the best shows EVER (I was lucky enough to have access to the house seats; must have seen it a dozen times at least, and am still searching for Frank Mills).
Congrats, GF Suzy!
I, for one, am very very happy to see long, luxurious, sensuous tresses, cascading down a woman's shoulders, is becoming fashionable again. There is nothing like running fingers through lovely hair. I confess, I miss wearing it this long myself--that feeling of a brush starting at the top and swooshing through it all to the end. Gimme a head with hair, long beautiful hair...(same show, Tall Gary and Alexa)
ReplyDeleteYes, EF Suzy. . .Tall Gary has set off quite the earworm alright. Well, hair is one thing I'm known for, but when the rains come I pull it up a lot because the curls just want to go crazy. These wigs look to be human hair pieces rather than synthetic.
ReplyDeleteAlexa, hope you and any of the other NYC blog folks have fun during Eric's visit. I know Ming the Merciless got a lot of CDP folks together when Chuck visited recently, and the photos looked fun (Hi Eliane :-)
I was catching up with Mr. 9:09 this evening and came across this photo from September of Eric in working mode:

I don't think you'll see him wearing a suit in Boston or NYC ;^). Hope getting ready to get out the door for your upcoming vacation goes smoothly and that you can really relax and enjoy yourself while on holiday, Eric!

Wish I could be in NYC for the fun.
ReplyDeleteI had the sound track to Hair when I was a kid. I knew every word of every song. The touring show came through my home town when I was in high school and my parents were cool enough to take me to see it. We loved it.
Mr. 9:09 knows Eric? Or was that just a bizarre coincidence?
I come back from Switzerland and find out that you're posting about the Naughty Paris Guide and women's hair. What trouble you've been getting up to I see. Just one warning Eric, many a blonde dyes by her own hand!
ReplyDeleteGosh. On the portal I thought this was a horse's tail or mane. What a shock and surprise to see wigs.
ReplyDeleteYes he's been very naughty, Michael. Even his label says sex. I haven't searched to see what else comes up under that. Do I dare?
ReplyDeleteOk I searched. Sex workers, the red light district, it's all there. Eric has done 'sex' before! he he...
ReplyDeleteI can't believe it, I am going to be in NYC on the 28th.
ReplyDeleteThat's right, what about the brunettes! Yes I know, men prefer blondes...what a pity. Mais Les Brunes ne comptent pas pour des prunes! ;)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy Deauville Eric!
That was fun, Guille. Enjoyed watching the funny little dance. More French music vids please!
ReplyDeleteHey you really are my Paris correspondent now that we do the same job (for the others; we are both taking phone bids at antique auctions, although we both do other things) Are we sisters separated at birth, Guille (quite a big gap though)? law, languages, auctions, photography, la Suisse...so much in common!
ReplyDeleteYou're right lois, I do love this photo! I've been thinking about getting some extensions to make it look like I have thicker hair. I do love my hair because it's so soft and shiny, but those are definitely to only 2 perks of having fine hair. I want some volume, dammit!
ReplyDeleteI think I'm gonna go back to red next time I change my hair. I love being a redhead!
"dyes by her own hand". You are a riot, Michael. You're also featuring on MBOB! xxx
ReplyDeleteBeauty is not defined by hair color, Ma Reine. Une belle femme est une belle femme, est une belle femme. That which we call a rose, by any name will still smell as sweet.
