Snake trains!
I "ventured" to the very eastern part of Paris yesterday morning and found myself in the middle of giant works (they are installing an extension to the tramway that I already showed several times here). Then I passed on a bridge (le pont National) over railway tracks (coming from Gare de Lyon) and found all these TGVs (bullet trains), waiting for God knows what (the yellow one belongs to the postal services and the other ones are just normal passenger trains). I thought it would make a cool photo - and it does, in a way ;-)

They don't look like they are waiting, they look like they are in motion. I guess it is the way you shot it. Kudos to you!
ReplyDeleteLove it!
ReplyDeleteThey're waiting for to go. I mean, they're waiting for Godot.
ReplyDeleteMakes a great image, the blue and yellow are always a good combination and the perspective is excellent and it does look like the trains are moving.
ReplyDelete(Jeff: heeheehee!)
ReplyDeleteyes it is a cool photo! I especially enjoyed enlarging it as well.
ReplyDeleteToo funny once again, Jeff!
ReplyDeleteit conveys a sense of speed.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo Eric and I love your comment "...waiting for God knows what...." Funny -- that's the transit authority here in San Francisco too.
ReplyDeleteJeff!!! LOL. :D Lois: they are being added to the BART!!!
ReplyDeleteas a railway lover, it's grreeeeaaat!
ReplyDeleteI am adding my chuckle, too, Jeffie!
ReplyDeleteThe Pont National always makes me feel uneasy. It's in a kind of wilderland and if you head north you can find yourself in a really weird area with some seriously dodgy characters if you're not careful. Some of them are clutching cameras.. ;~S
ReplyDeleteAs long as there are no snakes ON the train, I'm good. Those creatures are the things I'm most frightened of in the world. *shudder* But I love the trains! They are colorful and fun, and just imagine the places you can go.
ReplyDeleteLOL Jeff and Sab!
Eric -- Obviously, they were waiting for you to come along and snap this swell shot!
ReplyDelete......especially if you love trains! (Which I do!)
