Lost in Montmartre!

Two days ago I went to Montmartre to take a few photos (I'll be in Denver next week, so I'm stocking up on  my Paris shots!), but I don't resist posting this one today! I tend to think these two people are from France, but obviously not from Paris, as one of them is looking up on a map for his directions! The church in the back is not le Sacré Coeur, but Saint Pierre de Montmartre, another must see church (and much less crowded than the Sacré Coeur!).

  1. I LOVE this picture Eric! I was just in the Denver area last week, and the weather was splendid. I hope that you'll enjoy the same crisp air and beautiful views that I did!

    1. It'll be my first time there so I hope I'll like it even if I probably won't have too much time to explore the surrounding area!

  2. Terrific shot, Eric!

The area around them looks positively ancient, in ways...

    1. Well, it's not well known and though it's worth the visit.

  5. This is a classic shot ! How do you think it would look in B&W ? And speaking of Jean Marais... he was the "beast" in La Belle et la Bête. It is trivia Friday isn't it?

  6. Love the sign ;)
Lost at Place Jean Marais ...! Could be worse as a reference.
What are you going to do in Denver, Eric? Business? Leisure?

  7. If I were in their shoes in that picturesque spot, I think I might be tempted to just stay lost!

  8. Brings back many memories of walking round Paris with my head buried in a map bumping to things or people.

As it's Trivia Friday, 'This Charming Man' Jean Marais also featured on the cover of the single of the same name by the Smiths in the 1980's. Very appropriate I think. ;-)
