I took this photo from the first floor of the musée des arts et métiers, a great museum located in one of the Louvre palace wing. Not to be missed if you come to Paris. But the reason one I picked it today is that I looked at the French news today and saw that it was going to be 4°C in Paris today. I thought this was the perfect illustration!
Brrrrr!!!!!!! Sunny and balmy in Malta I heard!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Yesssssssssssss!
DeleteAt the moment, we're having the same weather in Northern California, only not as cold. It's a mixed blessing. We desperately need rain, but because it hasn't rained in so long (almost 3 years), the earth isn't able to absorb the water in many places.
ReplyDeleteYou're right, I've seen photos, and yes you definitely need rain. A lot of it! But the cold is not indispensable ;-)
DeleteIt certainly looks wet and disagreeable!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to be away from it!
DeleteVery fitting photo for the weather where I am, too!
ReplyDeleteLove looking down on the open umbrella.
Sorry that you have to experience the same kinda weather...
DeleteWe're about to have Sasho's problem in southern California. Tomorrow we expect rain and flash floods. We do need the rain! Mixed blessing, as you said, Sasho.
ReplyDeleteI hope it's going to last several days. In the South of France they just had terrible floods...
DeleteOne of my fave Paris museums (and largely overlooked, I think). BTW, we're have some very dreary weather in NYC too.
ReplyDeleteSend some rain to California ;-)
DeleteThank you Eric for all the joy you have brought us over the years with your photos. I have learned so much about Paris from your posts. You inspired so many of us around the world and we’ll all miss Paris Daily Photo greatly when the time comes. (We met once when you were in New York and that was great fun!) I wish you all the best in your new home and much, much happiness! - Lori
ReplyDeleteThank you very much Lori. I think I'll be OK ;-) We met in 2009 was it?
DeleteYes, 2009 sounds right. With the NYC bloggers.
DeleteSuper photo! I love the wet painterly effects of the water! But I am picturing you in sunny Malta with your feet up!
ReplyDeleteNot Yet Robin, not yet. There is a lot to do here (administratively speaking) before being able to rest a little!!
DeleteNice picture... Is it really le musée des arts et métiers ? Or musée des arts décoratifs?
