Place Rodin

I have been living in Paris for... Well, since I was born, and I never noticed this fabulous sculpture by Auguste Rodin (1840 - 1917). It is called L’âge d’Airain and is located in the center of... Place Rodin, in the 16th arrondissement. It is absolutly stunning. By the way, don't miss the Musee Rodin when you come to Paris...

  1. Hi there, love your blog - please tell me, if somebody says they live in St. Germain in Paris would they mean St. Germain-en-laye or St. Germain in the heart of Paris?

    Beautiful photo!

  2. Hi pmb,
When speaking of St Germain, in Paris, we mean St Germain-des Prés, whereas St Germain-en Laye, is outside of Paris, not very far form Versailles, at about 25 minutes from Place de l'Etoile with the Express Regional Railway.

  4. I must admit your photos are convincing me that my previous lack of love for Paris was a serious misjudgment! I guess I'll just have to visit again...

  5. Eric, I love the blog and actually have linked to it from my website...I was wondering if you had some information on a statue in Jardin du Luxembourg. It is a statue of a boy holding a mask up in the air. I have been trying to figure out who made the sculpture and what it is. I would love to see a picture of that in the blog...

  6. Oh yes, the Musee Rodin is a definite must-see. But go in the right mood, not just to strike it off your sightseeing list. It's romantic and beautiful and the gardens themselves are such an attraction.

And when you see The Kiss in person...oh la la!
