Let's jump into 2008!

Here we go! Today is the last day of the year and I thought of posting this "newspaper lady" that I found yesterday in the Beaubourg area on my way to the hardware store! It must have been a lot of work to create this piece of art for her "dress" is actually made of newspaper directly glued to the wall. Love it. Shame it's not signed - or I did not see the signature. If anyone knows the artist, please let me know. Don't forget tomorrow is the 1st of the month, therefore a city daily photo bloggers theme day; we are all (so far 101 participants throughout the world!) supposed to post our best photo of the year... Hold your breath!

  2. Oh man, the best photo of the year... it's almost impossible to chose from one of your photos. I could go with a recent one, "the hunch back of Notre Dame". Simply fantastic.

I take this chance to wish everyone at PDP a happy new year!!! Happy 2008, Bonne anné!!!

  3. Where is this Eric? I've never seen it before (surprise, surprise), but love that someone actually took the time to glue newspaper to the wall and nobody stopped them. Only in Paris!

Best photo of the year from all of the city daily photo bloggers. How on earth will you all choose?

  7. Ah so that's the theme. Okay then.

This is a great illustration of jumping into New Year, Eric, and i'm more than ready. 2007 was not good for me. 2008 has to be better. Yay! Happy New Year!

  8. Happy New Year Eric and Monica and Michael and Lynn of course and anyone else who visits PDP.
I don't know what M.B will post for tomorrow's theme. I know the one he'd like to post - Ella Grace - our new grandbaby but he's not permitted to do so as Ella's parents aren't into that sort of thing. C'est domage because she's very, very cute and in the photos she is only 5 days old!
Bonne Annee - we'll be seeing you this year (it's already 2008 down under)!

  13. Happy New Year! Love today's photo, and yesterday's too. {sigh} It would be grand to see a film there, perhaps "Sweeney Todd." I am curious who created the newspaper lady, what inspired them, how they did it? Ahhh...stop thinking and just enjoy! Can't wait to see your photo selection for the the year.

Bonne Année 2008 to all the PDP viewers!! Hope it is Spectacular!!
